Quality labels

Beyers Koffie takes responsibility for compliance with strict international certificate standards so that you don’t need to. All our products are made to the most up-to-date standards.

BRC (British Retail Consortium)

The BRC Global Standard for Food Safety is a certification system that many British, but also Belgian and international retailers, require of their suppliers of private label products. The BRC standard focuses on food safety and hygiene in the food processing sector. The BRC Global Standard for Food Safety is the world’s most widespread food safety certification standard.

The key requirements of the system are centred on:

  • a developed and implemented HACCP system
  • the quality assurance system
  • rules for the factory’s interior and surroundings
  •  rules with which the end product must comply
  • rules for the production processes
  • rules for staff hygiene

IFS (International Food Standard)

This certification process evaluates suppliers and producers of food products intended for human consumption. The auditor mainly assesses the basic principles of the HACCP system and quality assurance system, and checks for consistent implementation of the statutory requirements and correct implementation of production and hygiene in the company.

Self-checking system

Every year, we are assessed in the context of the self-checking guide compiled by the FAVV (the Belgian Agency for the Safety of the Food Chain) for coffee roasting companies. Through this, we demonstrate that we comply with the statutory requirements for hygiene, traceability and self-checking.
